BLAM!

JME of Boy Better Know released his album BLAM! on the 4th October 2010. For those of you acquainted with JME will be aware he is a "badboy mp3 trafficker". By the end of this album, you will NOT be asking yourself, "hang on, what was that JME album called again?"  The countless times i'm reminded of BLAM, leaves it safely imprinted in my mind, as do his ingenious lyrics.

In May 2010, we were shown a glimpse of what was yet to come with JME and Tempz - CD is Dead. Personally, I was overwhelmed by it and contributed to its almost 600,000 views on youtube. I'm not sure if it was the endearing Pars R Us t-shirts, or the cheeky skanking which reeled me in, but it worked.

BLAM! encompasses the old JME we know and love, claiming that "right about now your heads so big, you get charged more for your trim, safe." However it is combined with a refreshing taste of tunes I can imagine being plastered over the radio in a "tinie-tempah-pass-out-esque" fashion, namingly Over Me and Sidetracked (featuring Wiley). Lastly a sprinkle of songs which would intimidate you in a dark alley, always nice to have a balance.

JME has gone far past the 1Xtra Westwood days and has started on the golden path to mainstream fame. I wish him and his do-rags the best of luck.
